Dr. KL Liu is an orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in children’s orthopaedics and scoliosis.
Through his work in a tertiary referral centre in Hong Kong and voluntary service trips to rural China, Dr. Liu gained experience in different aspects of children’s orthopaedics that encompasses disorders from birth to adolescence. He also focuses on scoliosis surgery, minimally invasive fracture management, limb lengthening and deformity correction.
Dr. Liu was appointed Honorary Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic and Traumatology Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2006. During his service in the hospital, his team introduced complete thoracic pedicle screw instrumentation, minimally invasive spinal surgery and navigation-guided scoliosis surgery. The same team was also involved in research on the aetiology and bracing of scoliosis. They explored potential applications of new technologies to improve the safety and precision of complex orthopaedic procedures. Examples include: the introduction of the Taylor Spatial Frame in Hong Kong in 2005; the use of special computer software to assist complex deformity correction; and the use of surgical navigation and 3D-printing to design patient specific instruments. Dr. Liu has researched and published in scoliosis and paediatric orthopaedic related topics. He regularly teaches and shares his clinical experience in professional meetings, training workshops and public lectures.

Licensed Orthotist and Prosthetist in UK, a registered Orthotist in Canada, Pedorthist in USA, Mr Ho carries with him 35 years of clinical experience in orthotics and prosthetics. He has a passion to continually improve and promote the world of orthotics and prosthetics.
Mr Ho joined the internationally renowned the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in 1992 and was appointed as a member of Rehabilitation Research Committee and Authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program of the Ministry of Health. He had also involved as a research project instructor for the International Committee of the Red Cross, Educational Committee of the Canadian Prosthetic and Orthotic Association.
Mr Ho constantly received training in Germany, USA and Iceland. His studies have focused on biomechanics of foot, human locomotion, orthotic treatment for Scoliosis and setting standards and procedures in orthotic and prosthetic practices. He has published articles on the topic of orthotic treatment for scoliosis and spine injury and a book “The Best Foot Forward”. Topics include foot biomechanics and orthotic management for common foot problems.
Being an active Orthotist and Prosthetist, he has participated in few national projects, including the Paralympic Games and Sichuan Earthquake Rehabilitation Services since 2008. He regularly provides lectures and workshops in University and professional meetings.
